Minecraft Club is open for 5th graders and we meet on Tuesdays and Fridays after school. There are currently 15 members!
The first meeting was all about how to use the controls and build a simple house. Here are some of their fabulous creations!
Then we started making connections to science class, where we are learning about Earth’s spheres- the hydrosphere, the geosphere, the biosphere, and the atmosphere. Together, we went into worlds and made lists of all the things we could find and they wrote them down in a graphic organizer for each sphere.
The next meeting was focused on the forest biome and students created their own forest in their own space. Here are some of their forests!
